| HOLY COWWWWWWWWWWW!! Eye orgy man!!!
Okay lets get started. $3000 is a lot of money and I need to know all the parts you put into it.
Frist, is that a slant four you got on there? What were the power ratings on the original engine? Did you bore it out or anything and install larger pistons or did you keep the original size? I'm guessing that you broke it all open and replaced all the bearings and piston rings and such. Where there any cracks in the block or heads? Obviously you put an intake on there and the intake manifold looks brand new too. Are you going to keep the distributer or is there a way to retrofit a coil on plug type setup? I would prefer that cause it is much better on ignition timing and stuff. Plus it gets more juice for a hotter ignition. I dunno though. I like how all the hoses are red! Hey I noticed that you got a strut tower brace. Let me ask you this. Did it improve your handing any? I think you need stiffer springs and sway bars for the tower brace to even be effective though. Are you going to work on the suspension any?
What kind of problems did you have rebuilding it? Did it fire up on the first try? What about the headers?
Dude Im going to need a full detailed list on everything you installed and a transcript of the entire process. You know I wanna hear all the details.

| Man oh man that is mighty impressive!
Is the cam any larger? Im guessing it is since its racing. does it give the offbeat idle like the old school american muscle cars. I wouldnt do that with that car though.
You are going to retrofit a man tranny? Can you make the adjustments for that yourself or is it easy to do? What kind of tranny do you have in mind?
What do you have in mind for the fuel sys?
what kind of suspension does it run stock? Struts im guessing.
What brake system does it use. Disks all around or drum in rear? What size stock? What size do you want to install and what kind of calipers?
Hey man you did a really good job. Looking at the before pictures this thing was a mess. I bet you enjoyed the heck out of working on it though. Did you run into any problems? Nice going dude!
Sorry for talking so much. I just love this kind of stuff. I love it!

I love it! 1. yes the cam is lager it give the valve more open time and no it sound smooth as a farrari 2. maybe some day down the road if i see fit and i would use the man tranny of that type of car meaning alittle fitting but not to bad to do 3. high flow fuel pump ajustable fuel regulator and bigger injectors 4. struts in the front and shocks on a stock fourlink type systems just upgrading to shocks(it can make any turn i put it threw that) 5. 4 wheel disk breaks i am leaving stock size just puttin drilled and sloted in front (still stops of a dime) 6. many problems along the way mostly part shortage (we worked only on week ends and made sure we covered everything so nothing whent wrong 7. its ok. i love it too

| That's a nice looking car and engine Slaen, nice job!!! What was the main difference between the 924 and 944 from that time? The body style looks a lot like the 944 to me and I'm just wondering ( was it the last year of the 924 before transitioning into the 944 ? ) Oh and I didn't know that was you last night on COD with the name 924s, I would have stayed longer but was talking to MUM and looking for a TDM anyway. Next time I'll know.... | |

| its all good iron and next time you see me on drop me a line on skype i am always on when i play now for the short life of the 924s the 924 came out in the 70's it was a VW concept that ended up being sold to porcshe but had a smaller crappy VW van 2.0L...... as the years whent on porcshe made the 944 off the 924 body but with a real porcshe engine and a wider body (by making wider fender flares).........then in 86 they came out with the 924s....it had 300 less LB'd then a 944 and at frist it was the same engine as the 944 with 10 less hp (they did this so the 924s would not be faster the the 944 ) then in 88 (my year) porcshe desided to up the hp 13 more then the year befor making it 3 hp more then the 944 and still 300 lb lighter..............but it was the last year so prodution numbers where low only 4193 world wide and only 2190 in the USA...... production ended September 1988 ........... and that was the end of the 924 body for ever i payed $5000 with alot of matnice work covered on it ie. timing belt and so on... and a new paint job. i have dropped $3000 in parts into the car and when i am done it will be more like $6000 but thats when the car in fully "molested" | |
